Wallingfor town-hallBed and Breakfast at Huntington House is conveniently located in the beautiful country market town of Wallingford in South Oxfordshire, within easy reach of beautiful countryside and many local attractions such as the River Thames at  Abingdon and Henley, Oxford museums and colleges, Didcot Railway Centre, Pendon museum, The Ridgeway and Thames Paths and Oxfordshire Cycleway to name but a few.

Huntington House is convenient for business travellers. Among the many Business Areas such as Milton Park, Oxford Science Park, Harwell Business Centre you will find internationally renowned organisations such as UK Atomic Energy Authority and the Diamond Light Synchrotron facility in Harwell, Rutherford Appleton Laboratories and Joint European Torus (JET) at Culham Laboratories.

Didcot Parkway Mainline Railway Station (First Great Western) is a mere five minute journey from Wallingford by taxi or bus. Local taxi services are available to take you wherever and whenever you need to be whilst there are regular bus services from Wallingford to surrounding towns and Oxford City.

Directions to Huntington House

Huntington House is easy to get to if you arrive by road, rail or air. The directions below are from the most popular main roads, in particular the M4 from London and South Wales, both the M6 and M40 from the North of England or from Londonand the M25, from Mainline Railway Stations and finally London Heathrow.

By Road

From London (using the M4):

Exit M4 at Junction 8/9 for Henley & Maidenhead. Follow signs to Henley on Thames, continue from Henley on the A4130 towards Wallingford.

From London (using the M40):

Exit M40 at Junction 6 for Watlington, at the T-junction turn right and follow the signs to Wallingford, through Benson.

From Wales and the West of England (using the M4):

Exit M4 at Junction 13 North onto the A34 North towards Oxford. Exit A34 onto A4130 towards Didcot.
Continue on A4130 past Didcot to Wallingford.

From Scotland and the North of England (using either the M6 or M40):

After following the M6 south follow signs for the M42 and then the M40 South. Leave the M40 at the Oxford Junction turning onto the A34 and continuing south towards Newbury. Exit A34 onto A4130 towards Didcot.
Continue on A4130 past Didcot to Wallingford.

By Coach

From London (by Rail)

From Paddington to Didcot Parkway by First Great Western Trains, there are regular fast 125 mph services with a 40 – 45 minute journey time.

From Wales and the West of England (by Rail)

From Swansea, Cardiff, Swindon etc. to Didcot Parkway by First Great Western Trains:

From Scotland and the North of England (by Rail)

From Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Darlington, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Crewe etc. to Oxford (or Didcot Parkway) There are frequent fast trains by First Great Western Trains, direct to Didcot or via Oxford.

By Air

London (Heathrow):

heathrow.jpgHuntington House is 50 miles from London Heathrow, and an hour’s driving time in normal traffic, less at quiet times of day. There are many international car hire companies located at Heathrow Airport. Follow signs to the M4 Westbound, Exit the M4 at Junction 8/9 for Henley & Maidenhead. Follow signs to Henley on Thames. Continue from Henley on A4130 to Wallingford.

Alternatively, you may travel direct from the Terminals at Heathrow to London Paddington Mainline Railway Station either by London Underground train into London or by the Heathrow Express 15 minute train service. It is then a train 45minure train journey by First Great Western Trains direct to Didcot Parkway Station, located 6 miles from Huntington House and Wallingford.

Additional Options are the Railair Link www.railair.com coaches link Heathrow Terminals with Reading Mainline Railway Station (approx 40 minutes journey time) where you may board a train to Didcot (15 minutes journey time, non stop) and inexpensive coach services between Heathrow and Oxford, journey times between 70/90 minutes www.theairline.info then by bus or train to Didcot (5 miles from Huntington House).

London (Luton):

Huntington House is 70 miles from London Luton Airport, about 75 minutes driving time depending on traffic (Take M1 South and join M25 Westbound, exit onto M40 Westbound, exit M40 at Junction 7 to Wallingford).

Easyjet operate a large number of flights to and from Europe via London Luton Airport as well as Easyhire Car Rental among other international carhire companies based at Luton Airport.

Bus and coach services from Luton Airport to Oxford and London are available – visit www.nationalexpress.com.

London (Gatwick):

A journey time of approximately one and a half hours by road between Gatwick Airport and Huntington House depending on traffic – driving directions: M23 North, exit onto M25 Westbound towards Heathrow, exit M25 at M4 Westbound, exit M4 at Junction 8/9 Henley & Maidenhead, follow signs to Henley on Thames, continue from Henley on A4130 towards Wallingford on Thames, continue to Wallingford.

By Train, Gatwick Express from Gatwick Airport Railway Station to London Victoria Station (30 minutes) www.gatwickexpress.co.uk then from London Paddington Railway Station fast train services to Didcot Parkway Station (45 minutes).

By Coach www.theairline.info to Oxford, then by train to Didcot. Or Railair link Gatwick by coach then non stop train Reading Station to Didcot (5 miles from Huntington House) see www.railair.com .
